Samedia Shebeen w/BURLAND + ZONGO ABONGO

Following on from their brilliant set in our venue at Boomtown this summer we’re hyped to invite Bristol-based producer and DJ BURLAND alongside Ghanaian vocalist ZONGO ABONGO for a Scottish debut in the Shebeen.

Burland’s music fuses West African rhythms with dancehall, UK funky and garage and has seen support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Toddla T and Tash LC. Zongo Abongo’s joyful highlife-infused voice has been a feature of Samedia for years, with releases on tracks by Thornato, The Busty Twist & Ghetto Kumbe, as well as his recent work with Burland. It’s an honour to have them perform live at our home in Edinburgh.

Together they will play a 90 min set for us – we invite you along to dance!
