For our first party of 2020, we are delighted to announce UK heavyweight Lurka will be gracing The Mash House for an evening of deep, dark and wonderful UK techno.
Hailing from Bristol, the Timedance, Wisdom Teeth and Hotline Recordings regular’s style encompasses heavily percussive, funky and dubstep-tinged UK techno. His releases have been described by Crack Magazine as “ubiquitous in mixes and on dancefloors at the cutting edge of UK club music”, and we are extremely excited to bring him to The Mash House. His latest release on Wisdom Teeth, as well as past projects including a seminal collaboration with Batu_music, caught our attention and in recognition of Lurka as a truly unique and interesting DJ and producer, we can’t wait to see what he brings to The Mash House! Expect a set of weighty bass-tinged techno with plenty of chthonic surprises thrown in.
Helping to warm up Mash House main room is DJ DDSIX, co-founder and resident at the esteemed Glasgow radio show Schematic GLA. Schematic hold down a fornightly residency on the respected GROOVE CITY RADIO and have brought guests such as Redstone Press, Le Freak & Friends and AISHA to the airwaves. Rest assured the decks will be in safe hands, expect a set of mid-tempo pounding chuggers from acid-tinged techno to electro to get the dancefloor nice and toasty.
Finally, completing the main room lineup and braving the journey all the way down from Aberdeen, we are buzzing to welcome Loch. Co-founder of Flow Events and resident with Aberdeen party-wreckers MELD, Loch will be pulling out the stops in his Edinburgh debut!
The bar duties will be covered by our own residents all night with a genre-traversing b2b2b!
