Katherine Aly is launching her much anticipated solo debut single ”The Skin I’m Made Of” at The Mash House on Friday 17 May 2019. Joining her will be the incredible Heir of The Cursed and Khalid Al Khajah.
Katherine Aly’s melody-driven tracks are a multi-genre experimentation with ethereal, lyrical elements and dreamy ambience; a narration of subjectivity in singular and collective contexts. She has fronted indie bands, including Lilac Melt and Stars & Molecules and has worked with various artists including Glassmasterer, False Bliss, Midi Paul and Sheltering Waves. Her solo work is in collaboration with Graeme Young, Bruce Wallace, Rob Harrison and Baby Taylah.
”dreamy vocals conveyed in a heavenly manner” – Indie Band Guru
Heir of The Cursed makes song-poems influenced by the strange nuances of life, Scottish weather, the constant and the inconstant. She seeks your company for a euphoric evening of healing and gentle necromancy as she shares her visions of shared pasts and futures.
Khalid Al Khajah is a Bahraini singer/songwriter/producer based in Edinburgh, who combines moody electronic R&B with elements of jazz and Neo-soul.
