On May 20th, Fractal Club and Texture are delighted to be teaming up to bring one of Techno’s finest talents to Edinburgh for another City debut.
Berlin based-Romanian Cosmin TRG, or Cosmin Nicolae, has been releasing music for near on a decade. With a discography boasting such revered labels as Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons, Gerd Janson’s Running Back, Rush Hour, Hessle Audio, and his own Fizic imprint – Cosmin’s productions have earned him a solid reputation with audiences, peers and critics worldwide.
Alongside his talents as a producer, Cosmin is a highly in demand DJ, taking in regular slots at Berghain, Trouw (RIP), The Warehouse Project, and fabric, amongst others. His hypnotic and seductive take on House and Techno is one we are delighted to showcase in the confines of The Mash House’s intimate dance floor.
Joining Cosmin on the evening, is local hero – Stephen Brown. A true O.G of the scene, Stephen started playing with Drum Machines after hearing Yogi Haughton playing some of the first early Detroit and Chicago releases at The Hoochie Coochie Club in 1988. After retiring to his studio to develop his own unique sound, Stephen’s music has been released on some of the finest imprints around – such as Transmat Detroit, Subject Detroit and Soma.
With many of Stephen’s records taking pride of place in our record collection, we can’t wait for him to unleash his revered live show on May 20th.
With the Texture residents warming up affairs in The Main Room, this is one event the discerning techno fan cannot afford to miss.
Taking over the bar-space for the evening, local heroes Hi + Saberhagen will be delving deep to keep you grooving.
