We return to The Mash House in March 2017, where we welcome two selectors we hold in the very highest regard.
PROSUMER, an ex Berlin native now residing in our fair city, was always at the very top of our list when scouting for potential guests. With releases on such revered labels as Playhouse, Running Back and Ostgut Ton, not to mention his own imprint ‘Potion’ – this man’s records are a mainstay in our bags, and always deliver on the dancefloor.
However, it’s Prosumer’s skills as a DJ that really set’s him apart. Honing his craft through 10 years working at HardWax record store, first in Saarbrucken, then onto the famous Berlin shop, our man has had the pick of the finest house and techno cuts available. His emotive, jacking and acid infused DJ sets led to him being offered a residency at the famous Panorama Bar, which he held right up until his move to Edinburgh. Joining him on the night, is another native of Germany, and a current mainstay in the Ostgut Ton stable.
VIRGINIA, a current resident at the aforementioned Panorama Bar, has a wealth of experience to pull from to get the party going. Previous residencies at Flokati (Tobi Neumann’s cult Munich party) and Sven Vath’s Frankfurt based Cocoon club display how highly regarded she is held in one of the world’s most thriving scenes.
By spending time in the studio with other artists like Steve Bug, Butch, Steffi & Dexter, she has had her music released on labels such as Poker Flat, Area Remote, Underground Quality and, of course, Ostgut Ton. Taking inspiration from the warm analog tracks of the 80s and 90s, Virginia’s set’s often include live vocals, adding a unique element to her performances.
WIth a debut album ‘Fierce for the Night’ recently released on Ostgut Ton, we are delighted to welcome Virginia to Edinburgh for her first outing in the city.
Prosumer and Virginia will be supported in the Main Room on the night by our ever capable residents E.Wan & Chris G.
Manning the bar space on the evening, we have enlisted the Main Ingredient boys. Party time 🙂
