Brad Charters has been in and around the Edinburgh Techno scene for the last decade, with a background in sound engineering and a passion for pristine Techno, he likes to keep a dancefloor guessing. Warming up for some of the biggest names in the buisness as resident for Edinburgh club night Kapital, or playing peak time slots at some of central Scotlands premier Techno nights and venues (Pulse, Karnival, Animal Hospital and Musika in venues such as The Liquid Rooms, La Belle Angelle, The Caves and Sneaky Pete’s to name only a few). Charters has the experience to move a dance floor, with a dark and driving sound, he utilises loops and layered effects to create a mood and soundscape that is recognisably his own, and he has a catalogue of brooding beats to back it up. More recently producing his own material under his Redshift guise, and with his first live performance out of the way, Brad has began to take steps towards releasing his own music and making a bigger noise on the Scottish Techno scene. With an international appearence at ADE under his belt and performances at an array of British festivals, he is focused on developing his own brand of productions to go along with his DJ credentials. His lust for Techno is evident in his sets, and he clearly loves what he’s doing, as well as his focus on capturing and tearing up dancefloors with his dark bass laden journeys is hard to ignore.
