Crazy P, founded in Nottingham over 20 years ago by Jim Baron and Chris Todd and joined soon after by Danielle Moore, continue their hold as some of UK dance music’s most respected and revered producers, performers and songwriters.
Now in their third decade together and more relevant than ever, Crazy P’s experience extends creatively to include successful solo careers as producers and writers. It is this breadth of catalog, worked into their innovative DJ sets and live performances which keeps their ever young audience growing, whilst their tastemaker status makes them a point of reference for next generation producers coming
Holding their history proudly at the forefront of their progress, they skillfully balance the old and the new, no easy feat in a career that spans nine albums and a consistent touring schedule that takes them all over the world.
Crazy P remain perhaps most loved for their truly unique live shows and the electronic, melodic, beats and disco which flow through their sets. The Crazy P live experience sees Danielle, Jim and Chris joined onstage by Matt Klose on drums and Tim Davies on bass. Danielle leads, steering the audience and band connection with a performance so dynamic it is hard to rival, with accompanying humour to boot. Live in this case really does mean live and Crazy P skillfully show off their range, often using the live sets to showcase new music while interspersing with clever live instrumental reworkings of remixes and back catalog.
The versatility of their live show
has seen them take to venues and festivals stages such as Roundhouse, Manchester Academy, Troxy, Glastonbury and Love International, Croatia to name just a few. Equally at home in their
first love of clubs, Crazy P journey their audience through renowned DJ sets and Soundsystem shows which platform a live vocal performance from Danielle with Jim or Chris on production and keys.
2022 has brought with it new music from Crazy P,
with the limited press of the beautifully
haunting If Life Could Be This Way and accompanying video already out in the world, the summer of 2022 promises a new remix package, bridging us back to pre pandemic and the 2019 album Age Of The Ego. This collection of remixes is a cosmic, vibe heavy, and eclectic
journey through low-slung, groovy Balearic, big room disco, deep house, lo-fi, and beyond.
Remixers, tasked with their own inventive take on the album, include heavy hitters Gerd Janson,
Medlar, DJ Nature, and the much missed Soulphiction.
Age Of The Ego Remixes will be out on July 22nd on Walk Don’t Walk / !K7 Records.
Juggling a packed touring schedule with new releases this year, alongside their monthly
Worldwide FM show, Crazy P show no sign of taking their foot off the pedal and thank goodness for that
