Bound In Sound presents the first in a series of monthly events at The Mash House, bringing some of the finest underground DJ’s from around the UK to Edinburgh.
The October edition sees residents Chris Scott and Howie being joined by Leeds-based DJ and producer, John Paytner (Paisley Dark Records) for a night of acid house, electro and slo-mo techno beats.
John is head honcho at Paisley Dark Records and hosts the monthly radio show, “A Space Age Freak Out” where he showcases the very best and latest, psychedelic-infused electronic dance music. A passionate and knowledgeable music aficionado since the heady days of punk, his keen music sense and love of psychedelia, punk, funk, electro and dub has secured his reputation as a DJ. He plays regularly at Leeds’ Outlaws Yacht Club, has played a headline slot at Beat-Herder festival and a 3-hour warm up set for Andrew Weatherall at The Golden Lion, in Todmorden.
John’s production credits include remixes for BT Cop, Shunt Voltage, Japanese TV, Dan Wainwright, Steady State, Clandestino and Future Unit.
Bound In Sound is Edinburgh-based DJ duo, Chris Scott and Howie, who have built a reputation as selectors of chilled, balearic and slo-mo sounds. They host shows on Graffiti Kings Radio and Cowbell Radio, and have provided guest mixes for the likes of Evil Plans, Deep Space Berlin and Rising Edge Radio.
